I purchased a mini netbook a year ago. I specifically purchased it for the convenience of being able to take on my twice a year vacation to Arizona. While at home I use my home computor.
After I turned the computor on and used it for about 10-15 minutes, I would get black, white and blue lines vertically running up and down blocking one third of the computor.
I had purchased it at Costco, so when I got back home went into Costco and was told I needed to call Hp. I did this a total of 3 times. I was hooked up to someone in India. I found it impossible to understand them, and repeatedly asked for someone who could speak English. After being on hold for over an hour I was transfered to Texas. I gave them the info and they sent me a box after I had to pay them $a9.99 for shipping. They had it for 2 weeks.
When I received it back I tried it again and had to put all my info back on. Lasted about one week, and the very same problem. I once again called HP, got 3 different people in India. Could not understand them, and finally after 87 minutes on the phone was transferred to Texas. I told the person I spoke with there I did not wish to keep it and wanted to be compensated. He said the best they could do was send a box and have me ship it back, but they would pay shipping. Well when I got the box today, no return shipping label, so called and spoke to the person in Texas that had promised me free shipping. He denied this and said it was not their procedure to pay the shipping. Needless to say I am very upset with Hewlett-Packard, and now I am stuck with the useless Netbook.
I will have to go buy another laptop. You can be sure it will not be a HP Product.
